Michael A. Weitzner focuses his practice on business transactions and litigation. Before joining the firm, he worked for a community association law firm specializing in transactional and litigation services. During his time there, he analyzed contracts, drafted and revised agreements, composed legal opinions on Florida and federal law, and assessed claims against clients, providing recommendations on liability and damages. He litigated various cases for plaintiffs and defendants, including property damage, premises liability, breach of contract, and enforcement actions. He also served as first chair in PWBC, LLC v. The Village at Lake Pine II Homeowners Association, Inc., winning a bench trial in favor of the client. Before that, Michael worked for a full-service litigation law firm based in Fort Lauderdale where he was responsible for day-to-day activity for over 70 active litigation cases in state and federal courts, including preparing and reviewing discovery, taking depositions, negotiating settlements during mediations, drafting substantive motions, and arguing motions in court. Michael graduated from Florida State University with a double major in economics and sports management and a minor in general business. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law.
