We are thrilled to report that several WSHPC&B attorneys were selected as Best Lawyers in America for 2012 in their area of practice.
Mitchell A. Bierman – Government Relations. Mitch is an AV rated attorney selected as a Top Lawyer by South Florida Legal Guide for six consecutive years and a member of Florida Trend’s Legal Elite for five consecutive years. He has previously been chosen as a Most Effective Lawyer by the South Florida Daily Business Review, and one of the “Best of the Bar” by the South Florida Business Journal.
Edward G. Guedes – Appellate Practice. This is the fifth consecutive year Ed has been selected as a Best Lawyer. Ed’s many accolades include his selection as a Super Lawyer every year since 2006, an acknowledgement in 2003 as South Florida Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar,” and a mention as one of 2007’s “Florida Legal Elite.” Ed is also Board Certified in Appellate Practice by the Florida Bar.
Stephen J. Helfman – Land Use & Zoning. Steve is Village Attorney for both Indian Creek and Key Biscayne. He is also Town Attorney for Golden Beach. He is a member of the Florida Planning & Zoning Association, and has served as a member of the Coral Gables Planning & Zoning Board.
Michael S. Popok – Municipal Litigation. Michael is an AV rated attorney selected as a Super Lawyer for the past two years. The South Florida Business Journal has recognized Michael as a Leading Lawyer in Business Litigation for the past three years.
Clifford A. Schulman – Environmental Law, Land Use & Zoning. This year, Cliff was selected as a Best Lawyer in two categories. This is Cliff’s twenty third year as a Best Lawyer in America. Among his numerous awards and recognitions are his inclusion in as a Top Lawyer in South Florida, one of Florida Trend’s “Legal Elite” and his selection as a Super Lawyer for five consecutive years. In 2011, Cliff was named Lawyer of the Year in Environmental Law.
Richard Jay Weiss – Government Relations. Richard is an AV rated attorney who serves as City Attorney for Homestead and Village Attorney for Bal Harbour. He has been identified as one of the Top 1% of Lawyers in South Florida Legal Guide for the past nine years. He has been one of the Florida Super Lawyers and a recipient of Florida Trend’s “Legal Elite” since 2004. The South Florida Business Journal previously named him one of the “Best of the Bar.”
