Member and MDCLC Jackson Bond Citizen’s advisory Board appointee, Chad Friedman gave the Jackson Bond Citizen’s Advisory Board Report. Mr. Friedman mentioned that 2013 voters of Miami-Dade County approved 800 million dollars in bonds to improve the Jackson Health system. In the last quarter the board approved 15 projects, which consists of 60 million dollars. To date they have approved 260 million dollars worth of improvements out of the 800 million dollars. Jackson has been opening several urgent care facilities in different communities and has purchased property in Doral to create the West campus and build a new hospital in the city. There have also been significant upgrades to the South, Main, and North campus hospitals.
