Dan Espino was recently honored by the South Florida Community Development Coalition for his efforts to push economic development while in public office in the past, and more recently, for his outstanding advocacy of and for affordable housing. Designated a Rising Star by the SFCDC, Dan accepted his award with grace and humility.
The SFCDC was right in identifying Dan for his dedication to the community and the practice of law. Before joining the firm, he served on the City Council for the City of Miami Springs. He has dedicated his practice to representing local governments and parties before local government. Dan currently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Doral and has represented Pinecrest, Cutler Bay, Medley, Key Biscayne, Southwest Ranches, and the Homestead Housing Authority. His private sector work involves handling a variety of land-use matters for commercial, mixed-use and residential developments, including affordable housing projects.
Dan combines a robust professional life with his dedication to giving back to the community. He is active with the American Cancer Society and the government committees of the South Florida Hispanic and Greater Miami Chambers of Commerce. He is deeply involved with the Miami-Dade League of Cities, this year moderating an affordable housing session in the League’s Best Practices Conference. Dan participated in the inaugural session of Community Scholars for Affordable Housing program hosted by South Florida Community Development Coalition and University of Miami and was recently named a Miami Fellow by the Miami Foundation.
We are proud to have Dan Espino on our team!
