Miami Partner and Chair of the Appellate Practice Group, Edward G. Guedes, was appointed to the Florida Bar Appellate Practice Certification Committee effective July 1, 2021. As a committee member, Ed will be responsible for administering certification of appellate practitioners statewide.
The Florida Bar Appellate Practice Certification Committee identifies lawyers who engage in appellate practice and have the special knowledge, skills, and proficiency, as well as the character, ethics, and reputation for professionalism, to be properly identified to the public as board certified in appellate practice.
