WSH Partner Brett J. Schneider has been elected as the President-Elect of the Human Resource Association of Broward County (“HRABC”) for the 2013 year. Prior to his election as President-Elect, he served as HRABC’s Legislative Affairs Director from in 2011 and 2012.
Founded in 1968 as the Personnel Association of Broward County, HRABC provides a form for its members to exchange information and ideas and foster professional growth. The organization is dedicated to advancing the human resources profession, promoting the strategic importance of human resources management in the scope of modern business.
As the Chair of WSH’s Labor and Employment Law Group, Brett has extensive experience consulting with and advising private and public sector employers on a wide array of human resources issues, including personnel policies and procedures, discipline and discharge matters, drug and alcohol testing, employee privacy rights and education and training programs for managers and supervisors. He routinely represents employers before Federal, State and local administrative agencies, and regularly consults with and advises. A skilled litigator, Brett represents private and public sector clients in all phases of litigation, up to and including trials, on matters arising under Federal, State and local employment laws. He has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Florida SuperLawyers and a “Top Up and Comer” by the South Florida Legal Guide.
