This summer, WSH Partner Laura K. Wendell was sworn in as the President of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (“FAWL”) for the 2012-2013 year. In honor of Laura’s installation, WSH is hosting a reception at its Coral Gables office on July 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Laura concentrates her practice in the areas of litigation and appellate practice in both State and Federal courts. She has achieved multiple appellate victories in the areas of land use, code enforcement and eminent domain, and she is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Appellate Practice. Laura currently serves on the Appellate Court Rules Committee of the Florida Bar. Prior to her election as president of FAWL, Laura served in FAWL as the Treasurer, Journal Editor and Development Director.
FAWL is an association seeking to promote leadership roles for female attorneys in the legal profession, judiciary and community at large. The organization provides statewide forums for the exchange of political views, public and private sector employment opportunities, and continuing legal and management education.
