Tania Varela has more than 16 years of experience representing clients in complex litigation cases throughout the State of Florida. She currently handles various civil litigation matters with her clients including complex commercial, civil rights and torts, and appeals.
She began her legal career at a national full-service law firm, handling a wide variety of complex litigation matters in both state and federal courts. Prior to joining the firm, she was an attorney at a boutique litigation firm where she focused her practice on business litigation, creditor’s rights, product liability, and financial services litigation including claims under various federal and state consumer credit laws, matters relating to the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act and OFAC compliance issues.
Tania graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the Honors College at Florida International University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. She received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Tania graded on to the Journal of Law and Public Policy at the University of Florida and received book awards in legal research and writing, and trial practice. She also served as a University Fellow Research Assistant, a teaching assistant for legal research and writing and appellate advocacy, a member of the UF Law Recruitment Team, and a founding member of the Hispanic and Latino/a Law Student Association.
